Reducing visual noise
Rearranging modules can reduce the amount of long cables required, but that doesn't work for every patch. Some patches simply span distant parts of a case, no matter how carefully the modules are arranged. Portal exists for those moments.
- Place one panel near a source and the other near its destination to avoid long patch cables crossing the front of your system.
- Connect them using the included ribbon cable behind the module. No power is required.
- Patch up to 6 signals into one side of Portal, and take them out from the other Portal. The signals pass straight through, unchanged!
